Monte Piccaro Ring Trail

Length: 4.5 km • Elevation gain: 260 m • Time: approximately 2.5 hours

A route that alternates between forest sections and spectacular panoramic viewpoints. From this trail you can enjoy an elevated view of Borghetto and the coast as far as Varigotti, as well as towards the mountains with Monte Ravinet and S. Pietro dei Monti in the foreground. The destination of the trail is the “Madonnina del Piccaro”, an exceptional panoramic point that commemorates the narrowly averted danger following an attempted pirate raid in 1637.
