Wednesday, July 8th at 9:30 PM, the Ligurian band “ Sometimes My Wife Sends Me to Funk ” will take the stage, a group that has been captivating audiences for years with a blend of irony, energy and great music. An evening dedicated to fun and carefree entertainment that will engage spectators from beginning to end. The band is the official ambassador of the Onlus BastaPoco and the event will also represent an important opportunity to promote the association’s activities, committed to supporting people and children affected by neoplastic diseases. Founded in 2010, the band has carved out a prominent place in the musical scene of the Ligurian Riviera over the years, winning an ever-growing audience thanks to an original and engaging style. Currently the band is composed of Marco Ghini (vocals and lyrics), Rossano Giallombardo (guitar and music), Mauro Max Maloberti (keyboards), Fabio Zunino (bass), Andrea Balestrieri “Bale” (drums), Nico Lo Bello (trumpet) and Raffaele Esposito (saxophone). The project, born from an idea by Ghini and Giallombardo, offers a repertoire that spans different musical genres, from ska to reggae, from funky to pop, tackling with lightness and irony themes inspired by everyday life and experiences lived by the authors. An appointment with international music, Thursday, July 16 at 9:30 PM , in Piazza Marinai d’Italia, with the first of two evenings of Riviera Jazz & Blues Festival by Raindogs House The protagonists of the evening will be Luke Winslow King & Band feat. Roberto Luti , a consolidated formation that combines the songwriting and vocals of the American musician with the sound of Luti’s guitar, in a dialogue built over time between the studio and international stages. Raised between Michigan and New Orleans and matured in the Frenchmen Street scene, Winslow King has developed a personal language that crosses blues, jazz and folk. With him Roberto Luti, Italian guitarist among the main protagonists of the contemporary blues scene. For years one of the central figures in the global Playing For Change project, with which he has participated in international productions and collaborations. Opening the evening Francesco Piu & Lakeetra Knowles feat. Davide Speranza . Piu is among the Italian bluesmen who have been able to develop their own voice starting from the African-American tradition, intertwining slide guitar and Mediterranean sensibility. With him Lakeetra Knowles, American singer with a background deeply rooted in gospel and soul, capable of combining power and interpretive control. On harmonica Davide Speranza, among the most appreciated Italian harmonica players, with a direct phrasing rooted in the language of blues. An unmissable opportunity for lovers of quality live music. The Riviera Jazz & Blues Festival will return Saturday, July 25, with Curtis Salgado Band, the Blues legend who inspired John Belushi in the creation of the Blues Brothers. Finally the wait is over! Thursday July 23rd at 9:30 PM the stage of Piazza Marinai d’Italia will host Le Vibrazioni , a historic band of the Italian pop rock scene, protagonist of one of the most anticipated appointments of summer 2026 in Borghetto Santo Spirito. Born in Milan in 1999, the band, formed by Francesco Sarcina (singer, author and composer), Stefano Verderi (guitar and keyboards), Marco Castellani (bass) and Alessandro Deidda (drums), established themselves in the early 2000s thanks to the unforgettable song “ Dedicato a te ” winner of platinum record and quickly became one of the success symbols of an entire generation. Since then Le Vibrazioni have built a musical path full of successes, distinguishing themselves for a style capable of blending rock sounds and pop melodies, quickly conquering the Italian and international audience. During their career the group has released numerous albums, performed on the main Italian stages and participated several times in the Sanremo Festival, confirming themselves among the most loved and appreciated bands in the national music scene. There are many songs that have accompanied the audience over the years and that are still sung at the top of their lungs by entire generations today. Among these we remember “ Vieni da me “, “ Ovunque andrò “, “ In una notte d’estate “, “ Raggio di sole “, songs that helped consolidate the group’s success. Latest single, released on June 12th is Ambiguità (così strafatta di coriandoli), distributed by Pirames International and accompanied by the official music video. Back to Borghetto Santo Spirito for the fifth date of the tenth edition of the Riviera Jazz & Blues Festival at Raindogs House . Saturday, July 25 at 9:30 PM , Piazza Marinai d’Italia will host the great protagonist of the international blues scene, Curtis Salgado Band . One of the most authoritative voices in contemporary American blues and soul, singer and harmonica player, Salgado has been a protagonist of the American music scene since the late seventies. Throughout his career he has managed to blend blues, soul and rhythm & blues, collaborating with internationally renowned artists such as Robert Cray and the Steve Miller Band, distinguishing himself especially for the extraordinary intensity of his live performances. In recent weeks, confirming his artistic prestige, he received the recognition Soul Blues Male Artist of the Year at the Blues Music Awards from the Blues Foundation, an award he has won multiple times throughout his career. His name is also linked to the birth of the Blues Brothers myth. In the late seventies, John Belushi was deeply impressed by his stage presence and interpretive style, drawing inspiration for the creation of the character Jake Blues. Opening the evening will be Piaggio Soul Combination feat. Diane Kowa, a band that offers a repertoire in which soul, funk, jazz and Latin sounds blend into an engaging show.
