Monday, August 17th, at 9:30 PM, pure energy, distorted guitars and a wave of rock emotions: the ORONERO arrive in Piazza Marinai d’Italia, the tribute band to Luciano Ligabue, 883 and Vasco Rossi, capable of making every square vibrate!
The concert, always with free admission and no reservation required, following the tradition in Borghetto S. Spirito, continues the splendid musical season of the Molo.
The Oronero band was born in Turin in 2004 from the idea and meeting of six musicians from different musical backgrounds. The passion for Italian music, particularly for the Emilian rocker, led the band members to embark on the tribute band path. The presence in the group of a voice truly very similar to that of Ligabue confirmed the winning choice of the musicians. Custom instrumentation, sound research, arrangements faithful to the live performances and visual impact in pure “Ligabue style” are the strengths of the Oronero concerts.
Hundreds of concerts have taken the Oronero to perform on the most beautiful stages throughout Northern Italy and beyond (Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Sardinia). Memorable was the trip to Belgium that the band was invited to make for a stunning live entirely dedicated to the Italian community residing there.

Piazza Libertà
On Sunday, August 23rd, on the occasion of International Dog Day, PAWS ON TOUR returns this year, reaching its IV edition, the initiative dedicated to our four-legged friends, promoted by the Department for the Protection of Pet Animals and the Department for Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Borghetto Santo Spirito. The event renews a formula that over the years has been able to engage many participants, a walk in the company of your own dogs along our Seafront, to spend an afternoon together drawing attention to the respect and care of animals. The meeting is set for 6:15 PM in Piazza Libertà, from where the walk will begin towards Piazza Marinai d’Italia. At the end of the route, the four-legged protagonists will take the stage to be presented to the public and the traditional award ceremony will not be missed. Three categories of dogs will be awarded: the youngest, the oldest and the one from the farthest distance. In Piazza Marinai d’Italia, the following organizations will be present, committed to spreading their message in favor of animal protection: A.I.C.A.S. (Italian Association of Assistance and Service Dogs), Canine School ASD Blue River Dog of Borghetto S. Spirito, the Branco di Laura, Italian Veterinary Ambulance Federation O.d.v., G.A.D.I.T. (Environmental Guards of Italy), Levante e Ponente Beach and Noemi Oblò creazioni. The Adottaliguria ODV Association also participates, present with a solidarity stand, in order to raise funds to help our four-legged friends, which, in collaboration with the Gelateria Brignè, will make available a discount voucher kindly offered, with a value of €2.00 for all participants. Monday 24 August, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, c ontinue the summer appointments of Spaziobimbi, dedicated to the youngest. On Monday 24 August, at 4:00 pm at Giardino Stefano Pittaluga, “Discovering the world!” will be held, the new free reading and craft workshop for children from 3 years old. A meeting designed for young readers, who this time will be invited to look at the horizon and be guided by stories, discovering what makes our planet so big and varied. And like little Thumblings, painting pebbles, they will be able to leave some beautiful traces around the world! Cinema Arena Vittoria
On Monday, August 24, at 21:30, Cinema Arena Vittoria hosts Margherita Oggero for the presentation of “Le piccole viltà”, published by Einaudi. The event, introduced by Graziella Frasca Gallo, is part of the “Serate & Pomeriggi d’Autore” series. With her ironic gaze and attention to human weaknesses, the Turin-based writer constructs a family story in which each character carries something they would prefer not to show. At the heart of the novel is Marianna, called Mimina, who grew up within a far from conventional family, alongside figures bound by deep affections, but also by choices, renunciations and truths left unresolved. It is precisely the apparently least important behaviors that become the subject matter of the narrative: those decisions made for convenience, fear or peace of mind that, accumulating over time, end up directing people’s lives. The events of the protagonists are interwoven with the transformation of Turin, a city particularly dear to the author and a constant presence in her literary work. Born in Turin, Margherita Oggero was a teacher before dedicating herself to narrative writing. She made her debut in 2002 with La collega tatuata, from which the film Se devo essere sincera was adapted. Her novels also gave rise to the successful series Provaci ancora prof! With Einaudi she has published Così parlò il nano da giardino (2006), Il Compito di un gatto di strada (2009), Non fa niente (2017 and 2019), Il gioco delle ultime volte (2021) and Le piccole viltà (2026). She collaborates with newspapers and magazines and her works are translated in various countries.
