The literary series Author’s Evenings and Afternoons continues with a new appointment dedicated to contemporary narrative.
Monday, August 10th at 9.30 PM, at Cinema Arena Vittoria, the Ligurian writer Cristina Rava returns to present her novel “Strange very strange” Rizzoli Editore.
Amidst breathtaking landscapes, Ligurian delicacies, impertinent cats, ambiguous characters and plot twists, with Strange, very strange Cristina Rava brings to her debut a new protagonist of Italian crime fiction.
The steep hills overlooking the sea of Liguria. The scent of thyme and rosemary mixed with salt air and blinding light. What better place to seek a new beginning? This is what Emma Belgrado thinks, a police officer on temporary leave, marked by an irreparable loss. So she leaves her Trieste and takes refuge in her young nephew Marco’s agritourism to put the pieces of her existence back together. But when Michelangelo Merisi – a real estate agent branded for life by the name of Caravaggio – is found dead with a bag over his head, Emma is unwillingly involved in an investigation that uncovers grudges and hidden truths. With the help of unexpected allies – nosy waitress, the enterprising nephew and unconventional carabinieri – Emma must face not only the shadows of two crimes, but also the ghosts of her own past.
In conversation with the Author Graziella Frasca Gallo.
Author’s Evenings and Afternoons returns on Tuesday, August 18th at 9.30 PM with Raffaella Romagnolo, with the presentation of her book “The Secret Cure“.
